Political Writing Across a Variety of Topics
I am a recently graduated MA student who researched Canadian and Comparative Politics. I have become well read on populist movements across western democracies and often delve into historical analysis mixed with opinion polls and qualitative research. My most notable work has been a piece titled "Why not Here" a 107 page deep dive into the history of populism in Canada and the recent populist movements in the US and UK.
The goal of my writing it to bring a centrist and accessible approach to difficult and controversial topics. Maligned in the Middle is the name of this blog because I seek to partake in the difficult task of discussing topics with multiple perspectives in mind. I certainly fail at this optimistic goal, but I still attempt it none the less.
